You’re often caught between “if you make money from your art, you’re a sellout” and “if you don’t make a living off your art, are you really an artist?” 

Very few professions have such contradictory measures for success, so money conversations can be emotionally charged and difficult to have ❤️‍🩹 I’m here to be a partner and guide as you take this next step in your financial journey and artistic career.

Through our programs at Get Shameless Inc., we cover all the traditional financial planning topics — saving, budgeting, debt, investing, taxes, insurance, estate planning, goal planning, etc. — and the process is rooted in radical acceptance, advocacy, and racial wealth equity.

Through a mix of interpersonal neurobiology concepts (the neuroscience of how are hurt and how we heal in relationships), racial wealth divide context, and financial expertise, we will honor your nervous system while we create a financial plan that aligns with your values, vision, and legacy.

☎️ 5 Envisioning Calls

  • You will learn how your money personality is integral to healing your relationship with money. We will also go through action steps in the financial safety stage, including credit scores, savings, bills, and basic investments.

  • As an artist, your personal and business cash flow are inextricably linked. First, we’ll focus on the personal and calculate your ideal income and put together a bills calendar. We’ll also go through Financial Stability action steps, including setting concrete goals, understanding your tax situation, and beginning to plan for retirement

  • We’ll start helping you frame out how your work as an artist is a real forreal business. We will also go through the Financial Sustainability action steps, which include advanced savings goals, long term growth/artist plans, and estate planning.

  • We’ll put together your 12-month cash flow projections so you can see the your business’s income from a birds eye view and make long term decisions more easily. The Financial Independence action steps can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. You’ll see what it can look like to be an artist with some real autonomy in your career.

  • After walking through all the details big and small when it comes to your artist/financial life, we will spend time shaping your core values so you have a guiding light/north star/drishti to remind you WHY you’re doing this important work. You’ll be asked to imagine what very future you will want, including envisioning what your legacy could look like.

  • We’ll do some long term planning together by putting together 12 month cash flow projections and creating a system for making sure they come true.   • We’ll start envisioning what the future of your art/business can look look through the Business Independence & Business Legacy action steps, including growing a team, advanced estate planning, and creating a legacy.

You can learn that your money personality has been here to serve you all this time and it can continue to serve you in ways that don’t just help you survive, but give you space to thrive.   • We’ll go through the Financial Safety checklist, the first stage in our 5 stages to Financial Legacy. You’ll leave this meeting with a whole list of everything you’ve already accomplished and clear next steps to continue laying your financial foundation

  • Whether you booked this call because you already had the burning question or you didn’t know what you didn’t know, we’ll have plenty of time to have a deeper discussion on something you want to learn more about or get another layer of advice and coaching with.
