Social media can feel daunting but it doesn’t have to be, if you think of it not as a place to get followers, but a place to brag about all the cool things you’re already doing. You and your organization have a story to tell and the good news is, you don’t need thousands of followers to tell it.
The first step to getting good at social media is to just do it. Not every post has to be perfect or viral and if you remember that, you can create an engaging social media page where potential funders, community members, and other stakeholders can get to know the organization’s stories and wins in a digestible way.
We are also NOT EXPERTS, nor do we pretend to enjoy social media, so we are also learning where to find joy and fun in something that usually feels like a chore.
